Vic: Diver drowns at Wilsons Promontory
A male diver has drowned at Wilsons Promontory, south-east of Melbourne.
A spokesman for the Rural Ambulance Service says paramedics were called to Tidal River
about 12:50pm (AEST) after reports of a stricken diver on the beach.
He says attempts to resuscitate the man failed and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The diver's age and identity have not been released.
